Ethernet fabrics underpin the future of cloud services

In its predictions for the top ten trends CIOs need to plan for in 2012, Gartner* described the cloud as “a disruptive force has the potential for broad long-term impact in most industries.”

London-based cloud managed service provider, Oncore IT, is a testament to this trend. In order to meet the demands of more than 100 customers, Oncore IT turned to Brocade for a data centre networking solution based on Brocade® Ethernet fabrics and VCS® Fabric technology. This new solution is designed to guarantee performance and service availability, while delivering a flexible “pay-per-port” pricing model for customers.

But don’t let me tell you about.  Instead, watch the video below and listen to what the customer has to say about Brocade Ethernet fabrics.  If you like what you hear, give Brocade a call and we can help you transform your network in the same way Oncore IT has.

My current company is a Brocade shop and we are based in the Clearwater Tampa fl area. I have brought up going on an ethernet fabric because we want to DR our services to a undetermined site because we don't want to be under arrest to a hurricane etc if we lose services. I have mentioned and we have thought over building a flat layer 2 network out as well. But very difficuilt on MPLS and not VPLS. There may be current plans on this my last company in Melbourne, FL has the Cisco product lines for this but we have cost to consider.
