Partners participating in our channel survey told us they look for a combination of differentiated technologies, compelling vision and strategy, and a strong program when selecting vendors. It’s the exponential power of these three pieces – innovative technologies, compelling vision, and a program that delivers rewards to partners -- that combine to make mutually successful partnerships. And that’s why it’s especially gratifying to see Brocade recognized by CRN in the first several months of 2015 for delivering this power of three to our channel partners.
Brocade’s channel program has this year again been awarded CRN’s top-ranked “5-Star” recognition. This distinction is given to those companies who offer the “best partnering elements” to their solution providers. In selecting 5-Star recipients, CRN evaluated vendors’ investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.
At Brocade, we’re particularly proud of the support we provide our top VARs to transform their businesses and become leaders in New IP solutions, capable of handling the new networking requirements driven by cloud, big data, mobile and social. This includes free certifications, SDN/NFV training and our unique Brocade Network Subscription to enable VARs to support customers’ changing preferences for consuming technology. And we invest in helping our top VARs become even more profitable, for example by enabling them to offer an expanded set of higher-margin professional or cloud services.
In addition to this recognition of our channel program, in February Brocade racked up two additional distinctions from CRN, for channel vision and technology leadership. Brocade WW Channel Sales VP Bill Lipsin was again this year named to CRN’s elite Channel Chiefs list, a key selection criteria being plans for driving future business innovation and channel growth. And Brocade made a repeat appearance in CRN’s Data Center 100, and on the short list of Data Center infrastructure providers that are “power-players driving today's data centers.”
This power of three -- having a strong, rewarding channel program combined with compelling channel vision and strategy, and differentiated, New IP technologies -- will be more important than ever to help Brocade and our channel partners seize the new growth opportunities made possible with the transition to New IP networks capable of meeting the challenges of cloud, mobile, big data and social.
