Seasons Greetings to our Partners as we look forward to 2012

As the year here draws to a close and we enter a season of celebration, The Channel blog team have taken the opportunity to look back briefly over 2011.

And what a momentous year it has been.  The ongoing economic upheaval and uncertainty has dominated headlines for much of the past twelve months, and this trend for one seems set to continue into 2012.  And political events and huge change across the globe has changed millions of lives in ways we may only begin to understand and appreciate fully with the passage of time.

For Brocade, our 2011 has been touched by these events and our partners have not been left unaffected; and the art of second guessing the future is one we have all attempted with varying degrees of success.  But what we are confident of is our ability to build on the successes and progress made in 2011 over the next twelve months and beyond, and to successfully support and assist our partners in achieving the same.

In 2011 we continued to build our Ethernet fabric business and extended the Brocade VDX Data Center Switch portfolio.  Organisations need for flexibility, resilience and proven network technologies that underpin growth, while protecting and improving the utilisation of current investments, will be one thing we can be certain of.  And Brocade also strengthened our Campus LAN portfolio, redefining the economics of the campus environment.  We also continued to build on our partner programs to keep delivering quality in partnership in a fast moving and changing environment.  The Brocade Alliance Partner Network Program continues to deliver value; and provide support, solutions and tools designed to help our partners excel in being the point of integration for the customer, and providers of highly valued expertise and services.

And of course it has been the year of ‘cloud’.  Opinions vary on whether cloud will remain such a key buzz-word in 2012, but the change cloud has engendered and the movement it has driven towards virtualised environments seems likely to continue and grow.

Whatever 2012 holds we are excited to share this next stage in the journey with our partners, and we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all Seasons Greetings, and success and happiness in the New Year.
