I am looking to use the Vyatta Controller 1.1.1 to control Vyatta 5400 series vRouters running in my datacenter. According to the 5400 datasheet, it should work "seamlessly", but alas, I have not been able to get it working.
Has anyone been able to test this out? I suspect that I need a southbound API plugin that I do not have access too. Can anyone confirm?

That document is inaccurate.
The Vyatta 5400 does not connect with the Brocade Vyatta Controller 1.1.1. The Brocade Vyatta Controller supports two main southbound APIs to control network devices: NETCONF and OpenFlow. The Vyatta 5400 does not support either of these interfaces.
The Vyatta 5600 (subscription version, not trial version) does support NETCONF and therefore it may be controlled by the Brocade Vyatta Controller 1.1.1.
I will report that document and I expect the document will be fixed soon.

I can download eval version of 5600 in my.brocade.com.
Trying to have the ipsec tunnel built via EMS App in controller but no luck.
Both routers were mounted in App but the IPSec tunnel was not build.
Is there anyone get it working?
Vyatta 5600 has no trial so we can't test EMS app. Any chance Vyatta 5400 trial will be updated soon to include Netconf and Openflow?

Only the commercial version of the Vyatta 5600 supports NETCONF. In order to purchase the Vyatta 5600 you can check out this page: https://www.brocade.com/en/how-to-buy.html
