Re: Hanging Zones/Alias/Config

Hanging Zones are zones that are defined where the zone member cannot be found in the fabric. Usually old zones that are not in use anymore - hence the check and cleanup if necessary recommendation. If this is not the case - please report the problem to SHAdmin@brocade.com and we can check the hanging zones.

Re: Hanging Zones/Alias/Config

update on this topic: I ran a new SH Report today (v3.0.2e) and it did not contain any false hanging zones (it reported 18hanging zones (correct, those are really hanging ones). bernd

Re: Hanging Zones/Alias/Config

Thank you for your response. I tried the latest version and I still get the hanging zones message even though no hanging zones exsist on our fabric.

Re: Hanging Zones/Alias/Config

Isn't this usually caused by zones that are defined but are not part of the active config?
