multipathd: sdt: readsector0 checker reports path is down


multipathd: sdt: readsector0 checker reports path is down

Hello all,

this is my first post  in Brocade community.

we have Brocade swith with host connected  on port 9 with multipathing.

operating system is running with  Linux.

on  the HOst we see the following error for every 10 min.

multipathd:  sdt: readsector0 checker reports path is down. can some one point me  what is there any issue with switch or host.

please help me out in this  scenario.

Hi Naveen,

Could you please provide a few more details, i.e. what Linux, what HBA, multipath config on the Linux host, what storage array etc.

And also something like at least a switchshow / nsshow output from the switch, pointing out which ports the Linux host and the storage are connected to.

Hello Chris,

Thanks for your quick response.

But the issue was solved.

Here is description: The Linux host was seeing the Dead path links so for every 10 min we use to see the message readsector0 checker reports path is down & since the box is about to go in live i told Platform engineer to reboot the box & see.

when the box got rebooted we checked the multipath -l output this time we see no dead paths. & checked cat /proc/scsi/scsi every thing was fine.
