How to reconfigure a switch group in DCFM Pro when a fabric is replaced.

Hi all

I have 2 brocade switches located in 2 seperate buildings and connected via a fibre cable.

I used DCFM Pro v10.1.0 to configure a switch group.

Last week, the EVA connected to 2 of ports started reporting a large amount of link errors, so HP decided to replace the while switch. I therefore used the same name, and IP as the old switch. Also, HP reissued the license for the new switch.

Now the switch group in DCFM shows the old switch as greyed out, but the link has not moved to the new switch with the same name.

Can anyone advise how I can remove the old switch from DCFM, and then create the link from the new switch to the old good switch.

I've attached a picture.

Thanks

Col.

I assume you have frabric tracking enabled (the red sign beside the switch) so accept fabric changes should get rid of the old switch.

Thanks for the reply Kirkki

My fix was to delete the switch group, and then recreate it.
