Default BNA FTP user

Hi,

 

is there a possiblilty to change the BNA default FTP user from "admin" to another user?

Hi Marcus,

 

if you use the BNA internal ftp/scp server, you can configure username and password via the BNA Fat Client via "Server > Options"

Hi Martin,

 

I changed the password there, but the field with the username is (seems?) read-only.

You are right, the you cannot change the user name. Only other supported option is to setup your own ftp server on the BNA server (disabling the internal ftp server) and then configure the username. By having the external ftp server on the BNA server you will have full firmware management.   Notice that BNA per the following page

is using the apache ftp server documented at

 

http://mina.apache.org/ftpserver-project/

 

And it might be possible to change user name / adding a new user, but this would not be officially supported. If you require to change the ftp user name, an Request For Enhancement (RFE) should be put with motivation(s).
