No.

I need as mention the Exact FOS Release before Upgrade was started, and exact Release you have Upgrade.

BTW, the printenv you post here is the example from my How-To DOC, and not from you Switch.

connect trugh a serial cable, reboot the switch go in the console and collect the printenv from switch now.

BTW, the CF show as corrupted.

Re: DS-5000B Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

The printenv is from your post, i tried it out of desperation on my switch.

I think that I was going from 6.2.0b to 6.3.1a very early saturday morning and that is when it stopped responding.

Really appreciate your help.

Re: DS-5000B Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

Andrew,

--->>> The printenv is from your post, i tried it out of desperation on my switch.

before you take some Action, you are Invited to read accurately what i post in the DOC.

1) > setenv ENET_MAC=00012345ABCD <- Example ENET_MAC Number, must replace with Switch ENET_MAC

my DOC contain a Example ENET_MAC which is in RED MARKED AND VISIBLE FOR ALL USER , sorry to say but that see a Blnder

2) apparently you are not most experienced with such Technlogy, Now as mentioned please before you continue to take Action and continue to destroy the switch, post please question here.

I'll provide to give you some Instructions.

3) follow the DOC and and fnd the correct ENAT_MAC, whe nned to edited the printenv now.

--->>> I think that I was going from..

I have here my doubt you started from 6.2 to 6.3, or you have interrupted the firmwareupgrade procedure during upgrade process.

Re: DS-5000B Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

You are right, I am a novice! Assumming that ENET_MAC is the actual MAC address of the ethernet, I have setenv the following, saved it and rebooted

> printenv
AutoLoad=yes
ENET_MAC=00051E902823
InitTest=MEM()
LoadIdentifiers=Fabric Operating System;Fabric Operating System
OSBooted=MEM()0xF0000000
OSLoadOptions=quiet;quiet
OSLoader=MEM()0xF0000000;MEM()0xF0800000
OSRootPartition=hda1;hda2
SkipWatchdog=yes
gatewayip=192.168.20.1
ipaddr=192.168.20.5
submask=255.255.255.0
> saveenv

Output from the reboot below:-

The system is coming up, please wait...
Read board ID of 0x84 from addr 0x23
Read extended model ID of 0x26 from addr 0x22
Matched board/model ID to platform index 17

Re: DS-5000B Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

This is the internally Switch ENET_MAC.

the output show Wrong BootLoad variable, i asumme the 5000 use different Loader.

I need to find myself diverse Info about the bootLoader before wa can continue, and we need probable to edit with "setenv" the MEM, in order to Recovery correct the BootLoad.

Have be patience and don't take other Action, I'll coming back here with the procedure.

Or does you have another 5000 ? we need the printenv output.

Re: DS-5000B Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

I can wait no problem, but I think that this is the only 5000 that we have. Other switches are DS-16B2, DS-32B2 & 300.

I will not do anymore until you come back.

Cheers
