Does anyone know or configured the alerts (such as email alerts) for IP switches port utilization on BNA?
If yes means please explain how to do?
Can we configure it via MAPS (Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite) ?

MAPS can only be used on SAN switches, and VDX IP switches. It's not available for NetIron or FastIron devices.
From memory, I think you need NOS 6.x on VDX, which means you'll need at least BNA 12.4.2.
That works if you want to use MAPS to monitor & alert directly from the switch. But you can do this monitoring & alerting from within BNA.

Yes, this can be done.
Go Monitor -> Performance -> Historical Data Collectors
Edit the Port Utilization Collector. Go to 5. Threshold & Rearm.
Set values for thresholds/rearm.
Now you will get utilization alerts generated. You can then create an event action policy to email you for those alerts.

Already configured the same and it is working fine Lindsay.
When the port utilisation alerts came via email the ports were specified as 'ifindex'. Is there any option for displaying the port name as port 1, port 2 etc,.

Please find the sample output from the BNA below...
1136 13 1 2 1 x.x.x.x x.x.x.x Mon Feb 15 16:51:01 IST 2016 Mon Feb 15 16:51:01 IST 2016 1 1 7 From Device:x.x.x.x, IfIndex:11, rising threshold crossed. IfHCInPackets Count = 35984. Threshold Value= 1.0. Collector: Port Utilization Collector. 0 192.168.100.150 Mon Feb 15 16:51:01 IST 2016 Mon Feb 15 16:51:01 IST 2016 -1
my question is how to display it as Port No: 11 instead of IfIndex:11 ? Is there any way to edit or configure the MIB files?
