Re: what is VSAN and what is NPIV

Hi,

VSAN is a properitary way from Cisco to seperate physical Fabrics to logical (like VLAN).

NPIV is N-Port ID Virtualization and enables a single Fibre Channel port to appear as multiple, distinct ports.

Re: what is VSAN and what is NPIV

Hi Ralf,

It means all the WWPN's are connect directly to switch port right?

could you please elaborate more on this. How this NPIV port works and is there any limit on this.

Regards,

Kumar.
