is it cisco CWDM transceiver modules compatible with Smartoptics T-3009 mux?

Hi all,

if i have a tranceiver CWDM-SFP-1xx0  for a  cisco 3750. will it work with a mux/demux SmartOptics like T-3009?

AFAIK,

SmartOptics fit and support only SmartOptics certified SFP Transceiver.

Hi flukin,

the T-3009 is a passive device that only has LC ports which you plug patch cords in; you don't plug SFPs in it.

Technically it's compatible with any standards-compliant CWDM beams that get into it.

You can mix and match the sources as long as you use correct wavelengths in correct ports. For example you could have four Smartoptics SFPs coming from Brocade switch multiplexed with four other CWDM wavelengths fed from a LAN switch (not necessarily with Smartoptics' modules).
