fec_uncor_detected

Hi

 

On a SN8600B i see a lot of errors of the type fec_uncor_detected

There are no CRC errors, nor any other physically layers errors logged

fec_cor_detected     17790               Count of blocks that were corrected by FEC

fec_uncor_detected   44860               Count of blocks that were left uncorrected by FEC

 

 

What could be the cause of the increase of this error ?

hi Thomas,

 

can you check the bad_os counter in the portstasshow for the same port?  You do not have any PCS errors, so it leave the bad_os. Further, this link is not stable or good - you have 2400 link failure and 1200 synchronization loss.  Physical layers, cable or SFPs.
