brocade 6505, psu fault

Hello.

 

There is Brocade 6505.

Have single power supply configuration and on this power supply blinking green led and in switch logs appears these messages.

Wed Aug 23 2017 13:03:17 GMT+00:00    Error    PS 1 set to faulty, rc=2000e.    Chassis    901    1    EM-1034    SAN1    
Wed Aug 23 2017 13:03:22 GMT+00:00    Warning    Env Power Supply 1, is below low boundary(High=0, Low=1). Current value is 0 (1 OK/0 FAULTY).    Switch    902    1    FW-1010    SAN1    
Wed Aug 23 2017 13:03:22 GMT+00:00    Warning    Switch status changed from HEALTHY to DOWN.    Switch    903    1    FW-1424    SAN1    
Wed Aug 23 2017 13:03:22 GMT+00:00    Warning    Switch status change contributing factor Power supply: 1 bad, 1 absent.    Switch    904    1    FW-1426    SAN1    



But this power supply is still working and the switch has power.

What I can do to fix it?

this error message my be ignored on 6505.

 

most probable you have a old FOS installed, - what is the version installed ? -

 

I believe the defect was closed in higher release.

Right, defect is 564334, it is fixed in FOS version 7.4.1a and higher.

This defect is fixed in 7.3.2 and higher versions in 7.3 code stream.

correct, you need to update to close the defect.

 

add to 7.4.1a as mentioned by Thierry, the defect is closed in follow FOS rel.

FOS7.4.2
FOS8.0.2
FOS8.1.0

 

keep in mind to follow FOS target path if you want to upgrade from a current 7.3.0b to any higher rel. as 7.4.1a

 

upgrade/migration  in one step from 7.3 to 8.0 is not supported.
