Zoning causes "Abort command issued" on linux

I thought RSCN would handle this but we have a lot of servers that seem not to cope well when we do zone changes.  We are  running a lot of Linux VMs under Red Hat and these hang for a couple of minutes.  We also see AIX servers with 100 second loss, yet zoning only takes 20-30 seconds.

We are running FOS 6.3.1a and upgraded to this following RSCN issues on zoning, but our current problems seem similar.

I have been looking at "RSCN Transmission Mode" but I don't think that is relevant to this situation.

Re: Zoning causes "Abort command issued" on linux

I have just realised that I had not updated this post.  This was caused by mixed zoning.  The minute we went to full WWPN zoning and dropped the last domain/port zone all our problems ended.
