What does inter_dist means in sfp property?

I have sw SFPs in brocade directors. Some of them show as short_dist, and some of them as inter_dist. What exactly means by inter_dist in sfp properties.

UShah,

Vendor PN: 57-1000012-01 this SFP are EOL.

About you question, ( Short_dist and Inter_dist ) the SFP are produced from different vendor, however both are full Compatible.

Re: What does inter_dist means in sfp property?

There used to be a slight difference in qualification ratings where one vendor would support a tiny bit longer cable with 62.5 MM core. Was especially handy when older FDDI real-estate was still lingering in the computer rooms. (We didn't call them data-centers back then. :-))
