DETAILED DESCRIPTION

AutoHotkey (www.autohotkey.com) script to automate the addition and removal of colons in WWNs.

To use:

Press Ctrl-Alt-; or Ctrl-Alt-Shift-;

What happens:

If the text on the clipboard has any colons in it, all colons will be stripped out and the text will be pasted at the cursor. If the text has no colons, a colon will be inserted between every group of two characters.

REQUIREMENTS

Operating System Windows

Interface AutoHotkey (www.autohotkey.com)

Fabric Operating System Any

Other Requires AutoHotkey (www.autohotkey.com)

NOTES (INCLUDING LIMITATIONS)

If the clipboard contains text other than a WWN, the output will not be very meaningful. ;-)

Ctrl-Alt-Shift-; results in keystrokes being sent to the active window as opposed to using Windows' cut and paste function... this enables the use of this script in PuTTY (and similar) windows.
