Use of SN-000142 in a 4 GB switch

Could i use the SFP 4Gb Longwave 4 km SN-000142 in a 4 GB switch, because in our product description i found that this SFP is for use in 8Gb-capable switches.

you can use the SFPin 4gbps SW.But it is LWL, then you have to use it for long distance. pls make the thread correct if you find it.

The best way to verify is to obtain the part number of the SFP and look it up in the Brocade Data Center Ready - Compatibility Matrix and as the previous user states use Single Mode Fibre (SMF) cables for connectivity
