Switch does not see device name on new HBA

I was prompted by HP to replace my LPE1105 on a new bl465 g7 server that was having some flaky issues with the san.

I can't get it to connect to the SAN.

We have 2 paths to the SAN and both sets of switches on the blade enclosure all the way to the SAN can see the WWN, but there's something goofy with it I just can't figure out with HP.

The device name isn't showing up and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with that.  I attached a screenshot as well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Did you have installed on the new HBA the correct firmware?

Re: Switch does not see device name on new HBA

The version is ZS2.82A4 for the old card that worked as well as the two others I've tried.  I just tried putting in my old card and it's now experiencing the same issue.  I don't think it has anything to do with this version of firmware.  My other blades are still on this version as well and working flawless.

what does the nsshow output reports for that HBA? Does it reports the correct info?

You can also use nodefind <wwn> to see the Name server info for that wwn.
