Silkworm not seeing WWN for new blade

Hello

C7000 and bl460cs connected to an EMC san via two silkworms.  I added a new blade (esxi5.0) and am attempting to connect it to the SAN.  When I log into the brocades I do not see the new blades WWN and I am not sure what I need to do to get it to show.  The blade is connected via the virtual connect identical to all the other blades but I just don't know what to do. This was setup by someone else and that person has since left and we have no warranty/support on it.

Can someone help me out?

Re: Silkworm not seeing WWN for new blade

Hi,

you need to log on to the virtual connect, create a new profile for the new server and enable it/assign it to the server.

Then new blade will get wwns assigned and those should be visible on the brocade-switches.

Re: Silkworm not seeing WWN for new blade

It had them assigned already and it already had a port profile... nut the FC SAN NAME was set to 'unassigned.'  Once I changed that to EMC1/EMC2 it is now working.

Thanks for your help!vc-wwn.JPG
