Silkworm 4100 or 200E for Lab

Hi Experts,

Can you please advise which will be better for SAN Lab and some testing. Silkworm 4100 or 200E.

Old 4100 is half the price of 200E.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Re: Silkworm 4100 or 200E for Lab

Greetings aman.  It honestly depends.  Are all the ports enabled on the 4100?  If so I'd probably do that just for the port density alone and the redundant PSU's (200E has a fixed single PSU).  Both a 4 Gb.  Both employ one ASIC (200e has the Goldeneye ASIC and the 4100 has the Condor ASIC... Condor being the preferred ASIC).  So all of that plus you said its cheaper.

I had to dig these up, but found and attached the original datasheets so you can read up on each.  Hope this helps.
