Shutdown a switch properly

Few of our switches doesn't Power I/O buttron on the rear/back side of the switch.

What is the right process for to power off these kind of switches (don't want pull-out the power cable) ?

There is the shutdown command.

Shutdown command is 'sysshutdown'.

However, old FOS may not support it.

The very old switches 2800 & 3900s running vxworks have the 'halt' command.

Re: Shutdown a switch properly

for the 3900, you can use the command "sysshutdown"

2800 is based on vxWorks, and if I remember correct here ist not shutdown command, do here simple power off
