Scripting from a workstation

Hi,

I would like to automate some actions by script, but as nothing can be saved on the switches i expected to be able to launch scripts from my linux workstation.

As my public key can't be saved on the switch i can't even launch scripts through ssh.

Do you have a solution ?

Regards

Re: Scripting from a workstation

All I can think of is using "expect". Create a account in the fabric with minimum priveleges, just enough for you to retreive data. Use expect to provide answers to the interactive login process.

There are many scripts I beleive in the brocade script repos with expect scripts Or just google for it.

Expect is a scripting language just like perl, you will find the RPM's for expect in the RedHat CD.
