SNMP Query

Hi Friends,

I am trying to understand on how SNMP works on Brocade Switches.

1) What is the basic difference between SNMP v1, 2 and 3? If SNMPV3 is configured in the switch, is it necessary to configure V1 and V2 also?

2) Also when I issue the cmd to check snmpv3 configuration, I see there are 6 users listed? Why 6 users and whats thier role in it?

Spike-7800:FID128:root> snmpconfig --show snmpv3
SNMP Informs = 1 (ON)
SNMPv3 USM configuration:
User 1 (rw): password
Auth Protocol: MD5
Priv Protocol: AES128
Engine ID: 80:00:05:23:01:ac:1a:1a:ac
User 2 (rw): passpass

Differents users can be defined.

Attached is the detailled documentation concerning snmpconfig (see from page 1048)
