SFP Speed

Hi frndz,

how to find out the speed of the SFP in brocade,not the port speed..

Hi, try 'sfpshow' and the field called 'Transceiver'

some examples:

Transceiver: 11111111000000 100,200,400_MB/s M5,M6 sw Inter_dist

Transceiver: 11111111000000 200,400,800_MB/s M5,M6 sw Short_dist

That is the FC standards naming convention (they use MB/s just like SCSI standards for instance).

It doesn't take much to do the math or google it .. but 100MB/s is the equivalent of 1Gb/s and so forth.
