SANloader firmwareupdate fails

Hi,

When using sanloader for firmware update the switch fails to connect to the server. The server has 2 IP adresses, one on the switches management lan, and one on the normal lan. Sanloader send the wrong IP to the switch in the firmwaredownload command. How to fix this?

Message:

firmwaredownload "192.168.5.78","FTP-1","./release.plist","************"

Checking system settings for firmwaredownload...

Server IP: 192.168.5.78, Protocol IPv4

Firmware access timeout.

The server is inaccessible or firmware path is invalid. Please make sure the server name or IP address, the user/password and the firmware path are valid.

Correct server IP for switch: 192.168.7.78

Re: SANloader firmwareupdate fails

Jack, have you locked the ports to full duplex/100, as opposed to AUTO NEG?

Re: SANloader firmwareupdate fails

Yes it's on full duplex/100 running. But sanloader is sending the wrong IP adress to the switch. The server is connected to 2 different networks.

Re: SANloader firmwareupdate fails

Then don't use SANloader, if I'm right it's an HP internal tool.

If you must, try changing the order of adapters under start >> config. >> network >> advanced (in menu bar) >> advanced settings .
