Reset a san switch to factory defaults

Hi. Could someone please tell me how could i reset a 200E san switch to factory defaults? can this be done via telnet or must i connect to it using a serial cable? Is there a guide on this?

Hi Alex,

I prefer CLI. You can use telnet or serial console too.

1. switchdisable

2. cfgclear

3.cfgsave

4. configdefault

This procedure will reset switch config, and most of switch parameters to.

But do not forget, command configdefault does not reset switch IP settings.

see this Thread here. However the only one you should ignore are some Russian definition.

keep in mind AG Mode work only when all Port are active in Brocade 200E.

I change the admin and root password and don't remember.
