Removing switch from fabric

We have small fabrics consisting of a 2800 and a 2400 in each. We are starting to create on big fabric. To start this, we plan to remove the 2400 from each fabric and use them to create the new fabric...

Nope there's nothing special you need to do. It may cause a fabric rebuild, but those have been harmless in my experience.Just unplug it and bring it back up on it's own as part of the new fabric.

I would save the configuration off of the 2400 before changing anything on it, atleast then you will have something to go off of if something goes wrong. A BF will not occur when removing a switch, but FSPF will be recalculated, it sounds like in your case though everything would be moving to two single switch fabrics so SFPF will do nothing.

Just in case anyone is reading this later. We removed the switch with no problems. Did did save configs of each switch, just in case there were issues...
