Proper Zoning For a NEO2000 FC Tape Library

Hi,

I have a Brocade 200e switch and I have 3 NEO2000 FC tape libraries.  What I would like to confirm is the proper zoning methods for these with my backup server.

Each NEO2000 has 2 FC write heads FC1 and FC2 so what I had planned on doing was zone as follows:

Zone1_NEO2000-1

  • FC1_Port_1
  • FC2_Port_2
  • Backup Server_Port3

Zone2_NEO2000-2

  • FC1_Port_4
  • FC2_Port_5
  • Backup Server_Port3

Zone3_NEO2000-3

  • FC1_Port_6
  • FC2_Port_7
  • Backup Server

This makes the most sense to me but wanted to confirm that before I start.  Thank you for your help!!

Re: Proper Zoning For a NEO2000 FC Tape Library

best practices is One Target / Initiator

i.e.

Zone1_NEO2000-1_port_1

    FC1_Port_1
    Backup Server_Port3

Zone1_NEO2000-1_port_2

    FC2_Port_2
    Backup Server_Port3

the same for remaining Zone
