We plan to upgrade the firmware of a br5300 currently running in 7.2.1a.
Support recommand the below upgrade path:
FOS7.2.1a => FOS 7.3.1d => FOS 7.4.1e (Two steps)
When I read firmwaredownload man page the below lines surprise me:
“On enterprise-class platforms, this command, by default,
downloads the firmware image to both control processors
(CPs) in rollover mode to prevent disruption to application
services. This operation depends on High Availability (HA)
support. If HAis not available, use the -s option to upgrade
the CPs one at a time.”
HA n’est pas supporté par les 5300
hashow: Not supported on this platform
As br5300 are not HA compatible, I would like to know if these upgrade are non-disruptive and what would be the command to launch with scp

Yes it is non disruptive.
Attached is the FOS command reference guide.
You need to read section firmwaredownload.

the man page refers to chassis based systems (enterprise-class-platforms) with two CP Blades.
If you are using the firmwaredownload interactive mode it will prompt you for ftp or scp.
As Thierry wrote of course non-disruptive also on switch class products due to the two firmware partitions.
