Multipe FabOS version upgrades in multiple Switch FABRIC

Team,

I'm looking for a Best Practice when upgrading my SAN.

Starting from 6.4.X i will update to 7.0.X , then update to 7.1.X and finally update to  7.2.1c1.

I will update first FABRICA, a few days later FABRICB.

Unclear to me is if i should:

1. update alle Switches within one FABRIC from version 6.4X -> 7.0X, then update all Switches within the FABRIC from  7.0.X to 7.1X and then update all Switches within the FABRIC from   7.1X to 7.2.1c1

or if i should

2. update one Switch after the other within one FABRIC from version 6.4X to 7.0X  to 7.1X and finally to 7.2.1c1.

( means update first Switch to target version and start over with next switch within that FABRIC)

Thanks for your support

Kind regards

Helmut

Re: Multipe FabOS version upgrades in multiple Switch FABRIC

Hi there,

I would go for option 1.- so that the FOS version difference during the upgrade is minimal.
