Mixed zoning while connecting Brocade to Cisco switch

Guys,

I have situation where we have hard zoning configured on brocade switch which is part of HP blade chassis. We would like to ISL this switch to Cisco. We are definitly planning to make CISCO switch as pass through ( NPIV). Make sense? Please let us know if you see any issue. Also when we do zoning for wwwn coming from Cisco switch, we need to implement soft zoning. Will that work?

Yes you need to change all port zones to wwpn zones before connecting to cisco swicth,Also provide interop mode 3 while creating vsan in cisco

Rakesh,

Thanks for your reply. I will give a shot and let you know. I believe you have performed this before. Is there document available from brocade or cisco about this? I am interested to find related document if any.

Thanks again for your reply,
