Migration and Restoring configuration from FOS 3.2.1c to FOS 6.4.1a ?

Hello all,

I would like to migrate a 2GBit-SAN to a new one with 8GBit. At th emoment every fabric has 3 IBM Totalstorage 2109-F16 SAN-Switches with FOS v3.2.1c. The new switches are HP StorageWorks 8/80 - one per fabric.

How can I migrate with a minimum of impact to the new SAN?

Is it possible to save the SAN-Switch config and restore it an the new switches?

THX in advance

Re: Migration and Restoring configuration from FOS 3.2.1c to FOS 6.4.1a ?

Old FOS 3.x Config can not be Imported in FOS 6.x

in such case a simple way is to ISL Old Switches with new, the config will be commited automatically but here is another problem.

Old 3200 and 3800 cannot be ISL to NEW 8G Plattforms, and FOS 3.2.x is not Supported in same Fabric with 6.4.x

to make a long story short, you must create a NEW Config.
