LSAN between FOS 6.4 and FOS 7.4 compatibility

[ Edited ]

I am going to add two 2 ED-8510-4-B and 2 MP-7800B  on a complex configuration of older directors and routers. The old equipments are running FoS 5.0.5f up to 6.4.2b.  Are the new FoS 7.x compatible with them?

LSAN between FOS 6.4 and FOS 7.4

I have a customer with 48000 Directors and 7500 Routers runig FOS 6.4. There were LSANs on this configuration.

To replace above equipment with Chassis ED-8510-4-B Disrectors and MP-7800B routers running FOS 7.4, I need to put them on same fabrics (edge and backbone) Is it possible to have this interoperability, regarding LSANs. There is no entry either on the support matrix or in the release notes.

Thanks

Re: LSAN between FOS 6.4 and FOS 7.4

Brocade DCX with FOS 7.4 can partecipate in a Fabric with Brocade 48000 FOS 6.2.2 and above, - is supported and certified - this descripted in the Release Notes, for details refer the same.

Simple ISL is supported between 7500 and 7800, however if you want to create a Tunnel 7500 < - > 7800 this is not supported.

Re: LSAN between FOS 6.4 and FOS 7.4

My main concern is to put together the 6.4 routers and the 7.4 directors using LSANs.

This is not clear on any document.
