Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found.

Hi All,


Has anyone ever been experienced the kind of Kernel panic message that Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found.
That kernel panic event is occurring to our Brocade4100.
Due to electrical work at Machine Room, We did need to turn off and on to our Brocade4100.
After electrical work at Machine Room is complete, Kernel panic message results When We did turn on to our Brocade again.
We just did turn off and on and did not know tha Why did occurring this unlucky event.

According to this issue, We want to know what is the best solution and root cause.

Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found.  Try passing init= option to kernel. This part is Error message and Booting halted.

Compact Flash is corrupted, they must replace the switch.

Sure. I assume this is handled by the same switch in preview Thread

The Compact Flash Card become Defective.

Simply example:

Sector or Boot Sector in the HardDisk you Laptop / PC are corruped, this caused you are not longer able to Boot or Read/Write file from HDD.

As mentioned bj Bjiu in preview Thread, Brocade Fabric OS is loaded in CF which become defective.

Theoretically you can replace the CF, and reload a FOS, but you need here some Utility and Tools from Brocade to Prepare the New Compact Card and reload the FOS.

You have to Open a Call with Brocade if Active Maintenance Conract is available, or replace the Switch.
