Isolated Fabrics

I have inherited a SAN with a few fabrics that have been segregated for a few years now and will eventually be merged maybe. The immediate request requires a single Windows host to be zoned to two of the segregated fabrics for performance monitoring of separate Media servers in each fabric. The FOS is 5.3.0d on all of the switches involved. Is there a general practice or prerequisite for this solution? I understand in FOS 6.0 we can do a virtual fabric but we’re not there yet.

vf = Virtual Fabric is supported only by FOS 6.2.x above, and 8GB Switches.

The rest you want to Build here is a simple SAN.
