Is creating (... and not enabling) a zone config disruptive, please?

Hi,

I need to set up zoning on fabrics that previously had no zoning at all.

Am I right in thinking that the processes of defining aliases, zones and configurations (including a "cfgsave" operation) are not disruptive?

i.e. is it only the final step of enabling a config that is the potentially disruptive one?

I am asking as I would like to set up the aliases, zones etc in advance of going ahead and enabling the configuration and I don't (of course!) want any disruption during this preparatory phase.

Thanks!

Richard.

Creating alias, zones and the such is not disruptive.  enabling a zone is considered potentially disruptive but i have not experienced any issues in years.
