Hi,

what is the switchtype displayed in CLI switchshow output?

An 8G switch should be go past 6.4 - you might be a 5470 which shows switch type 73.

Re: IBM Brocade 8Gb 20-port SAN Switch Module upgrade to 7.x.x?

Hi,

this is a 5470 (brocade speak), and you should be able to upgrade until 7.4.2a (but no 8.x as the 8G platform is not supported under 8.x).   I am not sure why IBM sites stops at 6.4.x, but when looking at our release notes it is clearly supported under 7.x
