I have a IBM 2005 B32 and a IBM 2005 B16, I need to connect these two together, how can I?

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the fibre switch space. I need to connect two fibre switches together so that I can connect them to a SAN I have connected to the one switch. In short I'm needing more fibre ports and aquired the IBM 2005 B32 (Used) switch. How can I connect these together best.

The B16 does not have a Fibre License (at least as far as I can tell by running licenseshow)

The B32 has a Fabric license enabled.

Can I still connect these two together to achive my goal? We are a non-profit so funds are scarce.

Appreciate any help.

hello jttech,

First things first, you will need a fabric license on both switches.
