Hardware details from command line

Hi guys,

How can I get hardware details of a switch and also the GBICs from a Telnet session? I know this can be done on the GUI, but I have Java issues and cannot use it currently. I'd prefer to have the commands over GUI anyway.

Thanks

Sias

PS: The switches are mostly Brocade 300B, 5000B, 5100B's. Firmware 6.2.x/6.3.x (yes I know it's old - I'm working on that)

Hi there,

You can use switchshow, slotshow, chassisshow and sfpshow <port>.

if you dont find the info you need with these commands, just let us know.
