FCIP support on 5100?

Hi team,

a quick question. We have a 5100 brocade switch intalled an I would need to know:

Does this platform support FCIP and/or iFCP?

Does this platform support routing?

If yes which license I would need to buy, if no, which platform do we need to establish FCIP connectivity with another SAN site?

Here below the installed firmware and license

CETESI_SW3:root> firmwareshow
Appl     Primary/Secondary Versions
------------------------------------------
FOS      v6.1.0c
         v6.1.0c

CETESI_SW3:root> licenseshow

Jose,

--->>> Does this platform support FCIP and/or iFCP?

here all supported Feature in the 5100

Fabric services

Note: Some fabric services do not apply or are unavailable in Brocade Access Gateway mode

  • Advanced Performance Monitoring (including Top Talkers); Adaptive Networking (Ingress Rate Limiting, Traffic Isolation, QoS); BB credit recovery; Brocade Advanced Zoning (default zoning, port/WWN zoning, broadcast zoning); Bottleneck Detection; Dynamic Path Selection (DPS); Extended Fabrics; EX_Port Trunking; F_Port Trunking; Fabric Watch; FDMI; Frame Redirection; FSPF; Integrated Routing; IPoFC; ISL Trunking; Management Server; NPIV; NTP v3; Port Fencing; Registered State Change Notification (RSCN); Reliable Commit Service (RCS); Simple Name Server (SNS); Virtual Fabrics

IR= Integrated Routing License for the 5100

In order to use FCIP you need a 7500 / 7800 Switch or equivalent Director Blade. If you want to buy a 7500 / 7800 not make sense to Purchase a IR License for the 5100.
