Re: FC routing service can be enabled without routing license

Hello,

This is due to the license is not required for routing between Fabric OS switch and Network OS switch.

In Fabric OS to Fabric OS switch configuration, the license will be required and the configuration to EX ports will not be allowed.

Is this the reason of the following warning appeared during its portcfgexport configuration?
But it seems that the configuration of portcfgexport itself could unexpectedly take effect!?

admin>
admin>
admin>
admin> portcfgexport 2/24 -a 1 -f 100
EX-port is set to Brocade Native mode. Device sharing will not happen with other Brocade Native mode fabric(s) as Integrated Routing license is not installed.

Re: FC routing service can be enabled without routing license

Yes this is why the warning message is highlighting that sharing will not be possible but you can configure it. It is working as design.

Sorry I mean by this that it has been software designed/developped as it.
