Extended Fabric license needed or not?

Dear Community

following situation:

customer will have 2 fabrics, each with 2 Brocade 300 8/24 switches, stretched over 2 locations (max. 6 km). The interconnection will be made by a  C/DWDM-Ring over darkfibre. We will use Smartoptics SFP's in the Brocade switches (8Gb/s with CWDM or 4Gb/s with DWDM)

In my understanding we don't need any extended fabric license for that on the 4 switches.

Is this right? What are your suggestions, and whats the rule in using extended fabric license? Approximately 10km+ = then use extended fabric?

Many thanks for your response.-..
