ED48000B with CP faulty (21) before replacement and CP faulty(3) after replacement

Guys,

We Have a customer with a ED48000B that presented amber LED faulty for CP#5 and during slotshow , we got the following :

Slot   Blade Type     ID    Status

-----------------------------------

  1     SW BLADE     36 ENABLED

  2     SW BLADE     17 ENABLED

  3     AP BLADE     31 ENABLED

  4     SW BLADE     39 ENABLED

  5     CP BLADE     16 FAULTY (21)

  6     CP BLADE     16 ENABLED

  7     SW BLADE     17 ENABLED

  8     AP BLADE     31 ENABLED

  9     UNKNOWN             VACANT

10     SW BLADE     36 ENABLED

Brocade support tell us to replace faulty Blade.

It was done , firmware was updated to same version than the CP#6 ( FOS 6.4.3c) but something wrong still there.

Now , we have the following

ED_48000B:admin> slotshow

Slot   Blade Type     ID    Status

-----------------------------------

  1     SW BLADE     36 ENABLED

  2     SW BLADE     17 ENABLED

  3     AP BLADE     31 ENABLED

  4     SW BLADE     39 ENABLED

  5     CP BLADE     16 FAULTY (3)

  6     CP BLADE     16 ENABLED

  7     SW BLADE     17 ENABLED

  8     AP BLADE     31 ENABLED

  9     UNKNOWN             VACANT

10     SW BLADE     36 ENABLED

But the HA is OK:

ED_48000B:admin> hashow

Local CP (Slot 6, CP1): Active, Cold Recovered Remote CP (Slot 5, CP0): Standby, Faulted HA enabled, Heartbeat Up, HA State synchronized

1-)  What is the diffrenece betwween FAULTY ( 3 ) with FAULTY (21 ) ?

2-)  Is it HA enabled with CP redundancy or not ?

3-) Is there some place to investigate this "FAULTY " Condition for CP blades ?

Any inputs will be so welcomed.

Thanks.

Re: ED48000B with CP faulty (21) before replacement and CP faulty(3) after replacement

Joelson,

try "slotpoweroff" command, remove the blade, insert again and then "slotpoweron"

if this not work, i suggest to continued with Brocade support.
