Doubt for limits of ISL Trunking over a long distance

I have much confusion about what the limits of ISL trunking are under a long distance circumstance, like how many ports will be used and what speed should be recommended? List for table will be appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Doubt for limits of ISL Trunking over a long distance

How many ports is platform dependent but usually 4 or 8 ports maximum in a trunk, you can build more trunks if desired.

There is no straightforward answer to the speed question.

This depends, aomong things on, SFP's used, xWDM in place or not, licenses, link distance to cover and link loss bugdet, credit buffers for platform used, average payload size.

Any details on that would help
