DCX8510-8 Multiple Trunk Group query

Hi, I am setting up ISL trunk between DCX and DCX8510. I will be using 4 ISL for the connectivity and spread it across 2 blades for HA, in case if a blade fails the ISL is not impacted. So I intend to connect 2 ISL to Blade-1 Port 46.47 and 2 ISL to Blade -8 Port 46.47.

I hope there will be 2 Trunk Groups created. I want to know how will the traffic flow across the 2 Trunk Groups. Will it load balance across both the Trunk Groups.

Is there a batter way to do this configuration based on the requirement.

Hi anandh.gurusamy@emc.com

if you create TWO Trunk from/to different Blade, then 2 trunk will be created

Both Trunk build a EBR = exchange based routing

Re: DCX8510-8 Multiple Trunk Group query

Thanks Antonio.

Just one more clarification needed.

I found there are 2 Routing Policies - Port based or Exchange Based. Is the EBR the default policy? or do we have to manually set this while setting up the switch?
