DCX: server ports and ag ports flapping, no ISLs or storage ports, just on one port blade

Hello,

we have a DCX with five 48p 8G port blades v6.4.1a. Ports on slot 12, where server or access gateways are connected, show the following behaviour. Ports with ISLs or storage systems attached do not. In total that are around 20 ports on slot 12 that randomly have these messages in the fabriclog.

I don't think that on all these ports cable or SFPs are defect or hardware issues on the server side.

I am looking now for a way to isolate and understand that issue.

The first part that bothers me is, that just slot 12 is affected, but i believe ports on different asics.

Why just server/ag ports?

Is there a way you can think of to identify the origin? Could the problem be one ISL on slot 12, a storage port all the servers are zoned to or a could it be a port on an other slot?

Any ideas what could go on in that director will help me.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi micm,

would you mind posting the output of portCfgShow and portErrShow for ports in question?
