Configuring Fabric Watch using a pre-designed configuration template

Brocade provides partial configuration files, or

profiles, which help you configure Fabric Watch to

meet your particular SAN needs.

1. Connect to the switch and log in as admin.

2. Enter the configUpload command to upload the configuration file to the host.

3. Open one of the profiles that appears on the Brocade Web site at the following location:

http://www.brocade.com/support/mibs_rsh/index.jsp

Wo sind diese mibs downloadbar.

Re: Configuring Fabric Watch using a pre-designed configuration template

I think these templates have been abandoned for a while. Best way to do this is to configure FW on a switch. do a configupload to an FTP server. Extract the fw.xx entries and modify if you whish and do a configdownload into the other switches. After that do a configcommit and you should be up and running.

As for best practises?? There are no such things since each environment is different as are business requirements.

Cheers,

E
