Concerns about code upgrade from v7.0.2a to 7.1.1a

During code upgrade from v7.0.2a to 7.1.1a will the ports goes offline since the fillword setting to 3 made automatically/made compulsory with the code level? I dont see any notes regarding this but I read that its made mandatory with this code level

Re: Concerns about code upgrade from v7.0.2a to 7.1.1a

Check the release notes, the upgrade path would mention such things.

Although since the versions are fairly close, I would venture the upgrade will be non-disruptive.

I upgraded three Brocade 300s last week, from 7.1.0c to 7.2.1a. No issues to report.

Re: Concerns about code upgrade from v7.0.2a to 7.1.1a

Actually while upgrading 7.0.2a we haven't changed fillword from 0 to 3 for 8GBps ports, but from the code level 7.1.1a there is no way to skip without doing it, that raises concerns.
