Brocade HBA port state becomes G-port after doing portdisable/portenable operation on switch

Hi,

I have a host running with a brocade HBA BR-825 two ports.

HBA driver version 1.1.0.6.

Host is a SAN Boot redhat 5 u3 os using Brocade HBA dud image.

When doing portdisable/portenable operation on switch, after several iterations, found the path lost.

system log(/var/log/messages) showed the port had been online

BFA BFAL_AEN_PORT_ONLINE: Base port online: WWN = 10:00:00:05:1e:8c:67:2c

But multipath software showed the path had been down.

After checking the port state on switch, it became G-port.

Does anyone know why  and how to solve the problem, many thanks.

Re: Brocade HBA port state becomes G-port after doing portdisable/portenable operation on switch

Please provide porterrshow and fabriclog -s - I can try to determine a possible reason. Also do a sfpshow #portnumber

Did you check the HBA settings??

If you already have it please attach the supportshow.
